HiFu Face-lift

Lift your face

HIFU applies focused ultrasound energy to a depth of 2-5 mm locally targeting deeper tissues

which stimulates collagen regeneration.

What is a HiFu Treatment?

Hifu (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a safe, non-surgical and non-invasive ultrasound treatment that counteracts the effects of time and gravity on your skin.

Hifu treatment uses your body’s own regenerative response to gently and gradually lift skin on the eyebrow, under your chin and on the neck. It also smooths lines and wrinkles.

If you are looking for a facelift, and do not want to go through the process of injections through your skin or surgery, a HiFu facelift is something that you need.

Why should I do HiFu and not a surgical facelift?

This question gives you the answer. In hifu, there’s no needle piercing your face or no injecting a fluid under your skin.

Here are some points that will make you consider Hifu even more:

  • It is non-invasive and non-surgical method to get your desired results;

  • The cost is much less than a surgical facelift;

  • There’s no downtime required for your recovery. You can resume your routine as soon as you get off our chair;

  • Mild redness and swelling can be the risks – which are rare. Whereas with a surgical facelift, one can experience a range of risks including bleeding, infections, blood clots and so on;

  • In a 2015 study, about 94% of people mentioned improvement in skin lifting at a 3-month follow-up visit.

What does this HiFu

face lift treatment exactly do?

HiFu face lift treatment promote healing and stimulates rapid collagen production under your skin on your face. In the next 90-180 days, the healing response stimulates long-term tissue production and leads to further lifting and tightening.

It also helps to improve the tone and all the features of your face such as your eyes, cheeks, mouth, chin and skin also making it a viable alternative to Botox, with the benefit of being able to maintain facial expression. Other HiFu benefits are:

  • Remove Wrinkles;

  • Lift & Tighten Skin;

  • Improve Skin Elasticity;

  • Shape & Contour;

  • Remove Neck Wrinkles;

  • Anti-Aging.

Individually we can target brow, jowl and neck lifting, as well as overall skin tightening and rejuvenation. You will see a noticeable improvement in facial contouring, fine lines and wrinkles.

How long do these results last?

HiFu results are permanent and will continue improving gradually for up to six months following the treatment.  After

six months, your skin will naturally continue to age, however, HIFU can give you fresher, younger looking skin for about 12 to 24 months after your treatment. Follow up treatments can assist with the ageing process in more severe cases, which varies from person to person, but are recommended every 12 to 24 months to maintain results.

Hifu is considered the “work horse” of skin tightening as it penetrates much deeper than other treatments.

Radio Frequency (RF) is also very effective at protecting and maintaining your HiFu results. RF treatment can be done 30 days after the HiFu treatment.

What should I expect after the HiFu treatment?

Is there any after care?

Here are a few expectations after the treatment:

  • Reddish swelling should disappear within 24h or less;

  • Treatment sensations may take 24h to disappear;

  • Increased skin temperature (at touch) will disappear within 24h or less;

  • Skin may feel itchy – DO NOT SCRATCH;

  • At Laser Concept Therapy, we will give you all the necessary tips for aftercare and maintenance. Here is a list of a few tricks and tips:

  • Ice can be applied an hour after the treatment;

  • Following a HiFu treatment, to overcome the process of aging, you have the option of having a radio-frequency. This continuously enhances your treatment.

How does it work and what should I expect at the treatment?

Ultrasound beams through the surface of the skin to deliver precise energy at the right depths to the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) layer without damage or disrupting the epidermal tissue of the skin.

This energy stimulates both muscle firming and new collagen production. It is especially suitable for treating sagging skin with reasonable thickness as well.

Thermal Heat creates both spaced ‘wounds’ and cellular friction - promoting healing and stimulates rapid collagen production.

At your first appointment after the free consultation, you will have to remove all your make up and skin product on the target area before the treatment. Apart from this, there’s no special procedure and preparation required.  Here how it will look like:

  1. You knock on our door at Laser Concept Therapy, we great you.

  2. We will clean the target area first and apply a topical cream and an ultrasound gel

  3. Our special Hifu device is then placed against your skin.

  4. We adjust the ultrasound to the right setting and the energy is delivered to the target area in short pulses for 30-90 minutes.

  5. We then remove the device and you are off to go.

How do I know if I should do the Hifu treatment?

You need to have a mild to moderate skin laxity – meaning, your skin has begun to feel and look less firm as compared to before. Here are a few examples:

  • Lowered eyebrow line;

  • Loose skin on the neck;

  • Sagging skin under the skin or double chin;

  • Lines and wrinkles on the chest.

You shouldn’t do a Hifu if you have:

  • Open lesions or wounds;

  • Cystic acne;

  • Existing keloid scarring;

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
